APPLAUSE FOR YOUR ROCKSTAR LAB COACH

I first met Samantha a few years ago when she came to the Dress for Success office with a very generous donation for our clients. She gifted us with fabulous cosmetics from her own line; they made the perfect addition to our client clothing packages, and we got rave reviews from all who received them.   

Samantha was personable, professional, and incredibly intelligent; we hit it off immediately.  It was clear to see Samantha has a passion for her work, and that she was willing to share her passion with others. 

Because of this, we asked her to lead a workshop for our clients and she did an amazing job.  

As a black female scientist who is also an entrepreneur and successfully runs her own company, she was the perfect one to lead a class on starting a small business. 

Samantha was articulate, informative, and engaging; our clients loved learning from her.   Samantha Dickey is an absolute class act in every sense of the word! 

Interning at Dirty Beauty has taught me the fundamental steps to create my own cosmetics.  From learning proper [sanitation] to finding ingredient manufacturers, the hands-on approach has been crucial to grasp the process. 

Allowing me to blend pigments myself helps understand when a product is “ready” for the next step. 

I appreciate the flexibility Samantha has with my schedule in order to make this a rewarding experience. 

This internship does not take a traditional route but in the most positive way. Samantha is willing to teach and feed my creative thoughts because there is freedom and no rigid timelines.

Samantha is a force in [manufacturing].  She is also an encouraging entrepreneur who truly cares about the people she surrounds herself with.  

Meeting Samantha over 5 years ago I knew she was special but sitting down with her to discuss business showed me the depths of her spirit. 

This amazing woman has accomplished much while also holding onto her integrity. She sees that there is space for all while also helping to build the next generation. 

For me personally, I was figuring out my message on my own until she came along. The clarity that I have gained simply from one conversation has launched my business into what it is today.  I now feel confident and prepared to share what I am building.  She was able to pull out what my heart wanted to say. She is someone I am honored to have in my life; and I am eternally grateful for her support.  

Such an awesome experience with Dirty Beauty!!!   Our students absolutely loved Samantha.  

The STEM sessions were awesome; a little science and then 'take away my own product', it’s the best of everything!!  She’s engaging, patient and the students learned so much.  

I would recommend her workshops to anybody wanting a fun, well thought out  way to learn and teach STEM .
